- KISS: Keep it simple sweety and people will trust more because they have the feeling they understand what you are saying.
- Bless people with a real smile: People with positive feelings toward you are more likely to listen, but don’t try to trick them with a fake Pan American smile.

You should read Thinking fast and slow it you’re interested in tricks how psychological findings can help you to influence others. It’s amazing how many biases could be used that way. I also liked his analysis of the biases that prevent people from properly interpreting statistics.
Thanks, just added it to my reading list. Other books that are also good along this line are “Predictably Irrational” and “Nudge”.
Especially the one by Dan Ariely looks really good. I liked his talk at TED a lot. He really impressed me.
Yes his work is really cool, especially the study he did with respect to what motivates ppl. Daniel Pink gave a TED talk http://www.ted.com/talks/dan_pink_on_motivation.html about that and also wrote a book called Drive.
